Android Auto & Apple CarPlay built-in

ReleaseNetcorp EWD

The diary now lives on your dashboard. Glanceable countdowns, two-tap status changes, no phone fumbling. Available now in v2.4.

Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support has been the single most requested change since launch, and for good reason: the information a driver needs most — how long until the next required break — was living on a screen in a cradle, in small type, behind a lock screen.

What you see on the dash

The in-dash view is deliberately sparse. Your current status, the time remaining before your next required rest, and the running total for the day. Nothing else competes for attention.

Type is sized for a glance rather than a read, and the countdown switches to the same warning states the phone app uses, so the alerts you already know carry across without relearning anything.

Changing status

Status changes are two taps from the main screen, and — as always — are made when you are stationary. The dash view is there so you are not reaching for a phone to check where you stand; it is not there to be operated on the move.

Every change made from the dash writes to the same record as the phone app. There is no separate log to reconcile.

How to get it

Update to v2.4 from the App Store or Google Play, then connect the phone to your vehicle the way you normally would. Netcorp EWD appears alongside your other apps in the vehicle's launcher.

There is nothing to configure and nothing to buy. If your vehicle does not support Android Auto or CarPlay, the phone app is unchanged.
